Ducati Multistrada 1200S - 2012

More info will be added over time - upgrades, maintenance, tips, parts, info, sources.

Quick tip - Bleeding the rear brake, the factory service manual shows leaving the caliper on the brake mount on the bike, however at least in my case not all air would bleed out using the factory service manual procedure. So far the best solution for me is to remove caliper from mount and slide the caliper through the rear wheel to the right side to be able to turn the caliper over so the bleed screw is on top and bleed the rear system in this position. Tedious for sure but got all the air out and so far the brake fade issue has not occurred. It seems odd the factory service manual leaves the rear caliper in place because the 900SS i.e. factory service manual has removal of the rear caliper from the mount and turn over so bleed screw is on top in order to bleed the rear system. I'm not sure why Ducati diverged from the earlier procedure.

LeoVince complete exhaust system, Rexxer reflashed ECU. MWR air filter. Sargent seat. Various changes like footpegs, billet parts, carbon fiber parts, windscreens, signals integrated rear light, tank grip panels, coolant hoses, radiator guard, exhaust guard, aux lights, aux coax outlet for heated gear with remote controller, clutch slave cylinder, handlebars, brake and clutch levers, shifter.

Michelin Road 6's seem to work best for me. Amsoil oil and brake fluid are my preference. Dupont Chain Saver chain lube works for me.

Windscreens: The V-Stream alone still has a lot of wind noise and buffeting. The X-Creen spoiler drastically reduces both wind noise and buffeting, mainly (I think) due to allowing a more upright angle at the top of the screen to direct airflow up and over rider. Side gap screen fillers also help a tiny bit. I may try Iconic or self-made spacers to angle the windscreen more upright and allow a negative pressure flow gap. Maybe a screen with a curved-up rear section would help too, or a "double bubble" like Zero Gravity Daytona screens that have a more upright bubble section extending up the middle of the screen would help. For sure the screen still needs help reducing wind noise and buffeting.
