Hwy 42S from Bandon to Coquille is the original Hwy 101 until the Hwy was redirected over Bullards Bridge after it was built. Great side roads and the way east from Bandon. Connects with Hwy 42 in Coquille.
This is a twisty flowing road with some surprise decreasing radius turns for the unaware or if riding the road for the first time. Always a fun ride!
Connecting roads are (from West to East), Prosper Junction Road and Morrison Road, Parkersburg Road and Bear Creek Road, Lampa Lane, Fat Elk Road, and Fishtrap Road.
On the west end of Hwy 42S, between the Parkersburg Road (northside) and Bear Creek Road (southside) intersection and Prosper Junction Road (northside) and Morrison Road (to the south) intersection.
Parkersburg Road is largely gravel, but is a nice ride along and above the Coquille River with 2 small hills and connects from Hwy 42S in the east to Prosper Junction Road in the west.
Bear Creek Road is an out-and-back road, mostly paved, south of Hwy 42S into a small valley.
Morrison Road is also an out-and-back road, paved for awhile then turning to gravel where one can continue for a bit.
