Rosa Road 1

Rosa Road is an easy, relatively flat road that runs north-south between Two Mile Road (on the southern end) and 11th Street SE and Fillmore Avenue in Bandon (on the northern end).

The road meanders past cranberry bogs, through tree-shaded sections, and open brushy areas. Situated east of Hwy 101 it is warmer and less windy at times compared to the coast route (Beach Loop Drive).

It makes a nice loop away from Bandon to add Rosa Road to the south end of Beach Loop Drive. From Beach Loop Drive ride south on Hwy 101 about a mile to Two Mile Lane, then go east a bit to Rosa Road and take it north back to Bandon.

From the northern end, find Rosa Road by heading east on 11th Street (from Hwy 101) to the Fillmore Avenue/Rosa Road intersection. On the north side of 11th Street the road name is Fillmore Avenue, and on the south side of 11th Street it's Rosa Road.

Altogether, the loop from Bandon is about 12 miles. On the southern end, going out and back on Two Mile Lane adds about another 5 miles. On the northern end, one can easily add Riverside Drive, Prosper Junction Road, and Hwy 42S back to town to lengthen the ride by another 5-7 miles.

Rosa Road adds another dimension to the local riding available since its more open and flowing than Two Mile Road, Riverside Drive, or Prosper Junction Road. It also offers an alternate way to head north or south of Bandon.
